Our Commitment to Nurse Leaders

Working with nurse leaders is a special focus for The Leadership Studio and Catherine-Robinson-Walker. Catherine has been working with nurses for 25 years. She has been called “a nurse in her heart, “a nurse in another life”, and "an honorary nurse". She writes a regular column entitled “The Coaching Forum” in Nurse Leader, the official publication of the American Organization of Nurse Executives. In 2006, she was honored to receive the Association of California Nurse Leader’s “Friend of Nursing”Award.

From Catherine:  "Nurse leaders are exceptionally talented. They deserve to achieve their maximum potential and full-strength effectiveness. I have had the privilege and pleasure of providing leadership development services to nurse leaders since 1982.  Throughout this period, I have met and collaborated with many of the distinguished nurse leaders of our time.  That work has taken many forms, including:

The Network Institute for Patient Care Executives (aka The Western Network Institute for Nursing Executives, a week-long program held at the University of California Berkeley from 1982-1994).

The Florence Nightingale Museum of Nursing (the ten day inaugural leadership program to launch the Florence Nightingale Museum of Nursing building campaign, London, England, 1985-87).

The Center for Nursing Leadership Program (a year long program developed in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives, 1995-2000).

Today, The Leadership Studio offers an array of engaging, results-oriented services to meet the needs and challenges of today’s nurse leaders and managers. We provide:
