Chicago, IL, (March 25, 2009) – The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and The Leadership Studio ® announced today their collaboration in creating a one-of-a-kind Executive Coaching Resource Center (ECRC) for nurse leaders. The AONE Executive Coaching Resource Center will be available to AONE members in late 2009. This coaching initiative—designed specifically for AONE—includes the development of documents and other resources to assist nurse leaders who want to learn about and access executive coaching services. Pamela Thompson, RN, MA, FAAN, AONE chief executive officer says, “The benefits of creating this resource are core to AONE’s values and strategic objectives.”
The objectives of the AONE ECRC are to raise awareness and to inform AONE members about executive coaching and the value of this service to one’s career. One study conducted by Manchester, Inc., showed employees who experienced executive coaching realized improvements in productivity, quality, organizational strength, customer service and shareholder value. In addition, organizations who offered executive coaching to their employees received fewer customer complaints and were more likely to retain executives.
